Okay, so this is my blog for the plans that are going to be happening over the course of the next years of my life. I promised myself that if in 10 years that if plan A doesn't work out then I am going to move on with that of my life! I know that I have idealistic viewpoints, but at the same time I know that I live in a realistic world. Thus, I will give myself 10 years to try to achieve it. That would place my age at 33 years old!
Again, here are the plans again. Please note that plan B and C are interchangable.
- Plan A starts with a novel. It doesnt' stop there. I have been always the person that likes a challenge. If there wasn't a challenge then I would be bored out of my mind. Lastly, I want to make a personal note that I write because I love it not because I want to make a huge profit. In my mind, loving something because you love something is more important than the money. I believe in the saying that money can never buy you happiness! Only my close friends and family know the extension of this plan.
- Plan B which is to have a vocational course using my degree as a backup towards my life.
- Plan C is using my degree right away.
Of course, a lot of these plans require money to start them up. Yesterday, I was asked by my brother if I really did have a plan. I told him of course, but it requires money. I told him good luck in the next two years of our lives, because he will be serving a mission, and I will be trying to achieve these dreams of mine. There has to be a lot of changes that has to take place! (These changes are written in my goals blog - the link can be found on my dashboard when you click view my profile.)
Yesterday, I bought my GREs materials which was earlier than expected. I did this to give me the chance to study for it while hopefully to get it out of the way. I do want to get towards graduate school, but I am going to need the money and the experience to get there.
Studying for my GREs start studying today. I am planning to my test somewhere in September or October, which hopefully I have some type of job then.
Furthermore, the roadtrip that I was planning this summer will have to be placed on hold. I am planning not to do it in bulk as planned it is going to cost WAY too much money. I am planning to do weekend visits instead, and what I am supposed going to do with the visits is to scrunch down the research into two to four days instead of possibly a whole week!
Here are the places that I am going to be traveling over the course of the next year for the research that I need for the novel that I am currently working upon. Here are places that I need to travel in the next years of my life.
- Stanford University (I will do this trip in August.)
- Fresno, California.
- Anaheim, California.
- San Diego, CA.
- Boston, Massachusetts
- New York City
- London, England.
I hope that I can travel towards these places within the next year! This is of course will require money. Many friends are expecting this novel to be out next year which of course can't be delivered by then. However, I am going to do whatever it takes to make my promises by delivered. I have a lot of research to do these next months.
I could only hope that everything works out.
Where I should go first? Please post a comment to arrange the places that I should travel!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the part of your plan where you find a gorgeous and brilliant man who sweeps you off your feet?!... wait... that's something usually only girls will gush about in great depth and detail... lol
ReplyDeleteWhere first? Visit the places whose in depth detailed depictions are going to be vital. If you think that it's entirely likely that you will end up only describing, for example, the inside of the buildings somewhere and leaving the city description a bit ambiguous because it's not needed, leave those for last. Yes, it's good to know what you're writing about, but if you're going to allow the readers to fill in some gaps and provide some of the information themselves, maybe you can push those research visits back a bit. More practically? You'd probably want to combine the CA visits together in some way and your Boston and NY visits in the same trip, right?
I think Marnee that is what I am thinking. I haven't fully decided yet, because I am deciding to break up the trips over the next two years or so.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get that joke about men? I didn't get it....especially when I am not gay! lol =)
That sounds awesome to break them up a bit. Can you imagine doing it all lumped together and then get burned out? Or you could totally randomize it too, and separate them out, which means that you get a chance to go back if you discover that you needed a bit more research somewhere (except for London anyway...)
ReplyDeleteAnd that's the downside of text: tone and inflection get lost with out a big huge set up. Sorry Tee-J. When I read your post the first time, I had just finished with some girl friends who were scoping out their future plans, and I realized that girls almost universally include specific marriage and kid plans. They do their "And then I'll do X, and then Y, and then I'll meet this totally hot and amazing guy and then we'll get married and then we'll both do Z together!" Anyhow, point was that it was totally awesome to read about your plans. I hope I didn't make you feel uncomfortable or anything. :)
